Welcome to Moti — a language journaling app designed to help you practise writing and receive feedback, powered by AI. By using Moti, you agree to the following terms.
1. What Moti is
Moti is an experimental language-learning tool. It is not a certified educational service and does not replace formal language instruction. The feedback provided by the app is generated by AI and may occasionally be inaccurate.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Moti.
3. Your content
You own the rights to the text you write in Moti.
By using the app, you grant us permission to process your content for the purpose of:
- generating corrections, vocabulary suggestions, and insights
- improving app functionality and performance
We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us and providing your in-app ID.
4. AI-generated output
Moti uses third-party AI models (OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate corrections and suggestions. These outputs may be imperfect, misleading, or occasionally incorrect.
By using Moti, you acknowledge and accept this limitation.
5. Availability and changes
Moti is an evolving product. Features may change, improve, or be removed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the app or its services.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated terms.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:We are not liable for any loss of data, interruption, inaccuracies, or issues arising from the use of Moti.
The app is provided “as is” during development. Your use of the app is at your own discretion and risk.
7. Subscriptions
Moti Pro is available as an auto-renewable subscription with the following terms:
- Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
- Auto-Renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Renewal Pricing: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price
- Management: You can manage and cancel your subscription by going to your Apple ID settings after purchase
- Cancellation: Subscriptions can be canceled at any time. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
- Free Trial: New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. After the trial, the subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends

8. Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded Moti from the Apple App Store, the following terms apply:
- This agreement is between you and Moti, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Moti. Contact contact@getmoti.app for assistance.
- Apple provides no warranty for Moti. To the extent permitted by law, all warranties are disclaimed.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property infringement.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce this agreement against you.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any U.S. Government prohibited or restricted party list.
